Wheatland Village is located in the heart of historic Walla Walla, Washington. The community was designed in a quaint village theme. Work schedule is flexible 20-25 hours per week including some weekends and evenings.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain communication with Vitality Director (Supervisor), and other necessary departments regarding residents' activity and needs
- Maintain integrity, confidentiality, and sensitivity when working with residents
- Satisfy residents requests efficiently and follow-up
- Stand long periods of time
- Lift up to 25 lbs
- Properly log residents contact and requests
- Provides prompt and courteous service at all times
- Performs job responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies
- Will be responsible for a variety of task such as, but not limited to, shopping, errands, mailing packages, mail pick-up, light housekeeping, laundry

Job Requirements/Special Requirements:

Responsibilities:
-Management in coordination with the Director of Assisted Living to provide quality care and services to all residents.
-Supports and practices the philosophy, objectives and standards of the Assisted Living department to ensure quality care to all residents.
-Effective and efficient organization of the Resident Services Department.
-Ensures resident care interventions meet the personal, physical, and cognitive needs of each residents as well as maximizing his/herself care capacities, identity, independence, choice and opportunity for social interaction.
-Performs initial and ongoing nursing assessments and documentation for Assisted Living community.
-On-Call for Assisted Living department.
-Familiar with nurse delegation and willing to delegate stable and predictable tasks to qualified staff, as needed.

Qualifications:
-Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
-2 years of experience in an assisted living environment desired.
-Three years of experience in a position with management and leadership responsibilities.
-Basic knowledge of and ability to apply Geriatric Nursing principles
-Familiarity with pertinent State Regulations
-Computer knowledge and skills required

Associate Director at Parkview Memory Care posted 8/3/2017

General Job Summary:Primary function is to support and cherish our staff to create an environment to effectively run all operations associated with Parkview Memory Care. Responsible to be administrator designee on record. Complies with Federal, State and Local standards for community operations. Communicated the Generation's philosophy, vision standards and all policies to staff and residents both verbally and by example. Includes the Executive Director of Assisted Living and Memory Care in all situations that may place increased liability on Parkview Memory Care, Wheatland Village and/or Generations, LLC.
Educational Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write and follow oral directions in English.
- Must have a two-year degree in nursing, social work or a closely related field and/or at least five(5) years of experience in memory care/long term care setting.
- Must have or be able to obtain certificate as administrator for assisted living in State of Washington.
- Must be an active participant in growing and developing leadership and other industry skills and abilities by participating in continuing education opportunities and industry related reading, etc.

Skills Qualifications:
- Must possess the ability to interpret financial statements and keep abreast with changes in the Memory Care and Assisted Living industry.
- Knowledge of personnel administration, federal and state regulations.
- Highly organized and dependable, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Positive attitude and ability to consistently deliver excellent customer service. Strong communication skills necessary.
- Ability to speak in public and communicate effectively.

Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with people in a supervisory position in an assisted living, long term care or other form of health care delivery. Management and staffing experience is required.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Nursing Assistant Certification or Home Care Aide Certification required. (Employer may provide training to exceptional candidates.)
- Minimum 1 year caregiving experience, including Dementia experience. 2 years experience working with seniors strongly preferred.
- Complete and maintain current CPR and First Aid.
- Sensitive to the needs and concerns of older adults.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Must be over 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including criminal background check.

Founded in recognition of 2 of the 5 key Generations Values, those who achieve this award foster ethical and efficient use of company resources, funds, and labor; integrate impactful innovations related to such; and demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit in the spirit of our Founder, Wendell White.
