Senior Executive Director-Wheatland Village, Walla Walla, WA posted 6/30/17

Our beautiful Retirement/Assisted Living/Memory Care Community has an opportunity in the Senior Executive Director position.The Senior Executive Director's primary task is to lead the community in fulfilling the Generations mission of Enhancing Lives and Celebrating the Excitement of Living, but also coordinates, plans, implements, monitors, directs, and evaluates all aspects of the business, including the supervision, support and coaching of associates.

Essential functions include maintaining high customer satisfaction, ensuring a quality resident-oriented workplace, working closely with the Sales Director to meet and exceed targets, communicating the Generations philosophy and all policies to staff and residents both verbally and by example, and meeting financial expectations.
Wheatland Village offers a competitive salary including potential bonuses and a full benefits package, which includes a 401k.

At least 5 years proven leadership experience in senior housing, minimum 5 years experience successfully managing of complex budgets, a current Assisted Living Administrators
License/Certificate in the state of Washington, and a four-year degree from an accredited college or university are required. Must have a thorough understanding of local, state and federal regulations as they related to community-based, long-term care and senior housing. MBA and Nursing Home Administrator license are not required but preferred.

Requirements:
* Current Assisted Living Administrator's License/Certificate in the state of Washington
* Must have previous management in assisted living, senior living or skilled nursing
* A passion for working with seniors
* Managed a large team of employees
* Ability to maintain a high occupancy through marketing strategies
* Ensure all policies and programs at the community are adhered to
* Ability to manage annual operating and capital budgets and oversee cash planning to achieve budgeted financial goals
* Ability for mentoring/training, team building, leadership development, and achieving job satisfaction of staff
* Proficient in computer skills at an intermediate level
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* Ability to work weekends and evenings and be on-call as needed
* Must be willing to travel for corporate trainings/meetings
* Must be able to handle conflict, problems, and direct campus response in emergency situations
* Must be able to foster a smooth functioning, efficient operation through effective resolution of grievances from residents, families and/or staff and foster an environment of open communication

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED

- Minimum 1 year caregiving experience, including Dementia experience. 2 years experience working with seniors strongly preferred.
- Complete and maintain current CPR and First Aid.
- Sensitive to the needs and concerns of older adults.
