Full-Time Resident Relations Director

Responsibilities:
Primary focus is to support and cherish our residents associated with Independent Living (IL) location of the campus. Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with IL resident and their families. Serve as an advocate for IL residents and as a liaison between residents and their families and services inside and outside the community. Complies with Federal, State and Local standards for community operation. Communicates the Generations mission, vision, values and all policies to staff and residents both verbally and by example. Assists residents in transitioning to different levels of care, by coordinating between the resident and sales team and acting as a transition specialist.
Scope of Duties: Duties to include but are not limited to the following:
* Develop and foster healthy and collaborative relationships with residents and their families.Proactive management of resident retention and resident satisfaction.
* Develop and foster relationships with community services, organizations and programs that serve our resident population.Maintain a resource library of home and community based services.Assist with and serve as a resource and partner as resident needs evolve and change.
* Assess resident needs for supportive services and offer appropriate need-based resources.
* Respond to IL pendant emergency calls during scheduled work hours.
* Responsible for new resident orientation process.
* Partner closely with Resident Council President to foster effective communication, innovation, service recovery and strategy planning.
* Partner with Vitality team regarding Vitality orientation for IL residents, increasing participation, program innovation and educational opportunities.
* Serve as a consistent example and educator of the Generations Standard - including the FISH philosophy and the 5 Key Values.
* Foster an environment of open communication.
* Participate in sales process and support the sales team.
* Prepare for Quality Enhancement (QE) audits and action plan for improved results.
Qualifications/ Education:
* 2 year degree in a related field and/or minimum five years experience in senior living or related field.
* Must be a life long learner, as demonstrated by participation in continuing education, industry related reading, etc.
* Up to date knowledge of resources for IL resident and their families including but not limited to In-Home Services, Elder Law, Conservatorship, Mental Health, Dementia/Alzheimer's, Health Insurance, etc.
*Ability to read, write and following written and oral instructions in the English language.
* CPR/First Aid Certifications
* HIV/Blood borne pathogen certification
* Specialty Training in Dementia
* Basic knowledge of computers, work processing and internet based research.
* Must complete and pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting in a timely manner.

Full-Time CNA, Evening Shift

Requirements:
* To have great organizational and teamwork skills that promote a positive and productive work force.
* Great attitude and ability to be trained.
* A love of working with seniors in a customer-service-oriented environment.
* An ability to have fun everyday and enhance lives and celebrate the excitement of living!
Essential Duties:
* To provide quality care and services to our residents.
* To provide assistance with activities of daily living.
* To ensure good communication between team members and through proper reporting and documentation.
* To promote teamwork and continuity of care at all times.
* To ensure residents are safe, cared for, and engaged.
* To answer call lights.
* To support other departments with professional phone technique, light housekeeping duties (making beds/dishes), laundry services, and assisting residents to Vitality activities and events.
* To ensure residents rights and incorporate the values of choice, dignity, independence, individuality, and privacy into all actions.
Work Experience:
* Previous experience caring for a geriatric population is preferred.
* Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistance, or a Home Care Aide Certificate (through Washington State) in good standing, or being a Long Term Care Worker (as defined by initiative 1163 prior to January 1, 2012).
* NOTE: We can arrange for on-the-job/online HCA training, allowing you 200 days from hire to bring your license to active status.

There are seven categories of award recognizing specific achievements, some eligible only by specific job position or length of employment.

Named in honor of the storied career of our Founder, this award is won by those individuals who demonstrate extraordinary personal success in all 5 key Generations Values; qualify for criteria under Vitality, Service, Stewardship, and Teamwork awards; develop mentorship relationships with staff; demonstrate innovation and entrepreneurial leadership; and are instrumental to the campus-wide integration of our mission.

The Robert W. White Vitality Award

Named for our President-Emeritus, this award is achieved by individuals who demonstrate tremendous commitment to fostering Vitality – whole-person wellbeing and growth – at a Generations campus; effectively communicate and share the Vitality vision; empower and motivate those around them; influence and champion positive wellness outcomes in others; and role-model balanced wellbeing.
