Full time - Activities Assistant in our Vitality Department for Parkview posted 1/19/2018

Hours are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 8:30 to 6:00 with occasional weekends.You'll assist with recreational activities for residents in our Memory Care Community, providing therapeutic activities to help with our Wellness Focus Program.
We need you to be energetic, outgoing, enjoy a challenge and be ready for constant physical work. Excellent communication and social skills along with experience with Microsoft Office is required. Must have a high school diploma and NAC or Home Care Aide Certification. Prior experience with the elderly and dementia preferred.

Executive Director for Assisted Living posted 1/12/2018

General Job Summary:
Maintains the operations of the facility, directs, coordinates and supervises all services and activities of Assisted Living and Memory Care environments. Complies with federal, state and local standards for facility operations. Monitors policies and procedures, public relations and employee morale. Communicates facility philosophies and all policies to staff as well as residents.

Required Qualifications:
- Must hold a bachelor's degree or higher in social services, human services, behavioral sciences or an allied field and three years experience working with adults who have functional or cognitive disabilities or have a valid Washington State license to practice nursing.
- Experience working in long term care setting.
- Must possess the ability to interpret financial statements and keep abreast with the changes in the Assisted Living industry.
- Knowledge of personnel management.
- Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English.

Preferred Qualifications not required upon hire (may train on the job):
- If not licensed as a nurse, must be licensed or complete training within 200 days of hire, as an HCA, NAC or NAR (grandfathered in as per rules of I-1163).
- Dementia Capable - Level 1 certificate with adult education training and the ability to teach Dementia - Level 1 classes.
- Mental Health training with the ability to teach Mental Health classes.
- First Aid/CPR
- HIV/Blood borne Pathogens Certificate
- Food Handlers

Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Directs the overall operation of Assisted Living in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Manage Budget for Assisted Living Department.
- Provide excellent communication with residents and their families, staff and colleagues.
- Ensure 5 star customer service is provided to our customers.
- Maintain successful public relations to serve the best interest of the community.
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis.
- Recruit, select, train and motivate team members while leading by example for all.
- Clinical Lead for Assisted Living and Memory Care teams including completing assessments, navigating admission process.

- Oversees the meal service in the dining room.
- Manages the dining/serving staff, and the delivery of meals.
- Coordinates the work of the wait staff; maintains a clean dining room and related work areas.

- Management in coordination with the Director of Assisted Living to provide quality care and services to all residents.
- Supports and practices the philosophy, objectives and standards of the Assisted Living department to ensure quality care to all residents.
- Effective and efficient organization of the Resident Services Department.
- Ensures resident care interventions meet the personal, physical, and cognitive needs of each residents as well as maximizing his/herself care capacities, identity, independence, choice and opportunity for social interaction.
- Performs initial and ongoing nursing assessments and documentation for Assisted Living community.
- On-Call for Assisted Living department.
- Familiar with nurse delegation and willing to delegate stable and predictable tasks to qualified staff, as needed.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- 2 years of experience in an assisted living environment desired.
- Three years of experience in a position with management and leadership responsibilities.
- Basic knowledge of and ability to apply Geriatric Nursing principles
- Familiarity with pertinent State Regulations
- Computer knowledge and skills required

Founded in recognition of 2 of the 5 key Generations Values, those who achieve this award foster ethical and efficient use of company resources, funds, and labor; integrate impactful innovations related to such; and demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit in the spirit of our Founder, Wendell White.

The Teamwork Award
